Were excited to be a part of such a great event, Oklahoma Head Coach Patty Gasso said. The competition will be tough with teams like Oklahoma State, Louisville and Nevada, but it will be exciting for our student-athletes and fans to experience the Bedlam atmosphere in a special venue like ASA Hall of Fame Stadium.
We are really looking forward to playing at Hall of Fame Stadium because it is the best venue for fast pitch softball in the nation, said Oklahoma State Head Coach Rich Wieligman. With the quality of teams participating, the day will be filled with great softball.
The Sooners and Cowgirls last met in April 2009 with Oklahoma coming out ahead in both games. On April 15, Oklahoma beat Oklahoma State 8-1 in Norman then topped the Cowgirls again 6-0 on April 30 in Stillwater.
