OKLAHOMA CITY - After a record setting week of crowds at the 2010 NCAA Women’s College World Series, the Amateur Softball Association (ASA) of America is ready to host the ASA 12-Under ASA Hall of Fame Qualifier at the Hall of Fame Complex in Oklahoma City, Okla. The tournament begins tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m./CT with the Championship game set for 4:30 p.m./CT on Sunday afternoon.
The field will boast 26 teams in this double elimination tournament. Nine states are represented at the tournament with Texas making the most appearances with seven teams. LC Heat of Lewiston, Idaho and two teams from Washington make the longest trek to Oklahoma City, looking to qualify for the ASA/USA Girls' Class A 12-Under Fast Pitch in Bloomington, Ind., Aug.3-8, 2010. The top eight teams from this weekend will qualify for the tournament in Indiana.
