Two softball leagues come away with $2,500 each!
6/29/2011

The Spring 2011 Community Grant period is closed, sad. To make things a little better until the fall grant period begins with 20 fresh grants to be awarded; we want to celebrate two of the recent winners, ASA Softball leagues, Rocklin Girls Fastpitch League from Rocklin, CA and Cherokee Pride Softball Woodstock, GA.

The admin from Rocklin said they relied heavily on email for support. They also held a “Responsible Sports Grant” day and offered free ice cream sandwiches to any person who brought in their certificate.

They plan on using the money to help outfit one of their field with night lights to let games go into dusk and play at night. Cherokee Pride plans on using the grant to fund player’s participation in their season ending World Series in Panama City Beach, FL.

See the list of all the 20 winners and how you can sign up to get involved in the fall grant period, kicking off September 1st.

The Liberty Mutual Responsible SportsTM program supports volunteer youth sports coaches and parents who help our children succeed both on and off the field.  We offer many youth sports resources including $2,500 community grants, instructional videos, weekly tips, peer and expert advice, and coursework for those interested in improving the youth sports experience for all involved.
