OKLAHOMA CITY, OK –One of three undefeated ranked teams, the 13-0 UCLA Bruins continue at No. 1 this week among the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 poll. Going 4-0 at the Palm Springs Classic, the Bruins tallied wins over a then No. 12 Tennessee, Baylor, Northwestern, and Penn State thanks to the arm of workhorse Keira Goerl (Moreno Valley, CA) who went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA.
The Arizona Wildcats moved to No. 2 with a five-win weekend including an 8-2 victory over No. 6 Georgia and a 5-0 shutout to a then No. 7 Alabama. The 13-0 Golden Bears of California remain undefeated just behind at No. 3 with wins over Florida International and UC Santa Barbara. Oklahoma fell to No. 5 after losses to Louisville and Sam Houston State while the Top 10 teams remain the same.
Tennessee continued movement landing at No. 11 while LSU jumped from No. 16 to No. 13. Pacific saw this week’s biggest move from being tied for No. 27 to entering at No. 19 with four wins including Penn State, Notre Dame, Coastal Carolina and a then No. 7Alabama.
After three losses, the Titans of Cal State Fullerton fell from No. 20 to No. 24. Florida received its first ranking at No. 23 while South Florida and Texas A&M also enter tied for No. 25.
