IVYLAND, PA – (January 2007) – The Amateur Softball Association (ASA), a volunteer driven, not-for-profit organization based in Oklahoma City boasting more than four million members throughout the United States, has named Team Hotline the “Official Voice Messaging Service Provider” of the Amateur Softball Association.
Team Hotline is a totally free voice and text messaging service designed specifically to deliver voice and text messages of coaches and team leaders to parents, families and players of all sports to enable instant communication regarding team-related news, events and schedules. The Team Hotline service also allows for players to leave a voice message back to the coach. The ASA will be increasing its communication efficiencies immediately by utilizing Team Hotline’s dependable service to better enrich coach-team communications.
The concept of Team Hotline is simple; coaches call the hotline and leave a message for their members and a text message is then sent to the players informing them that a new message is waiting to be heard on Team Hotline. Once notified, players call into Team Hotline, enter their team number and hear the latest message. At this time they have three options: replay the message, listen to another team message, or leave a message for their coach.
In exchange for callers listening to a short, less than 10-second promotional mention, Team Hotline has always been and will always be a totally free service.
Team Hotline makes life much easier for coaches, players and parents, as well as league officials and attendees to league games and activities. Team Hotline is very significant – it affords a coach the opportunity to inform his or her team, immediately, of schedule changes, game or practice information, special instructions or directions and of course event cancellation updates.
“Being named the official voice messaging provider for the Amateur Softball Association is clearly a great honor and a strong endorsement of the entire concept behind Team Hotline and its service offerings,” reports Glenn McMinn, president of Team Hotline. “Team Hotline is a free service to teams and coaches – it’s a value to its users and a unique advertising opportunity to its sponsors.”
Throughout 2007, Team Hotline will continue expanding its service offerings to broaden its participation and sponsorship throughout the entire United States. Currently, Team Hotline, founded in 1991, services tens of thousands of sporting teams throughout the United States.
For sponsor companies and organizations, Team Hotline offers a unique and highly targeted, customizable method to deliver professionally created messages to Team Hotline members – a targeted demographic ideal for smart marketing on a sponsor-by-sponsor basis. Corporate sponsor benefits include, but are not limited to, highly defined and customizable audience demographics by geographic area, type of organization/sport, as well as a full reporting system in place to detail program effectiveness.
