Reasons Departs as Operations
Assistant
Derek Reasons is heading to
Poplar Bluff, Missouri High School where he will be working as a
Physical Education teacher and Head Boys & Girls Soccer Coach. Derek
thanks everyone involved with MO ASA for the great opportunity and wish them
the best of luck in the future!!! Mr. Reasons repacement is Cary Sager.
Team managers and other administrators are asked to be patient with
Cary as he learns the ropes in the ASA office.

adult teams for only $16.00 per person. Coverage includes $250,000 accident

2008 Missouri ASA Registration Fees

Adult Team: $20.00

Youth Team: $15.00 - (NOTE:
J.O. Team fee will increase to $20.00 per team in 2009!)

Fall League Team: $15.00 (start
play after August 1)

Individual Registration (required
for all competitive J.O. teams-available for leagues, including
baseball teams!

$0 deductible plan is $11.00
per person (includes $250,000 accident coverage and
$5 million
liability)

per person (includes $250,000 accident coverage and
$5 million
liability)

Umpire (any age): $40.00
Benefits include team scorebook, rule book to manager
and all Individually registered coaches. Umpires get umpire manual and insurance.
REMEMBER, Junior Olympic registered teams are entitled to
add as many "additional insureds" as desired!! No additional charge. |

Columbia registers
largest adult summer league! The city
of Columbia Parks and Recreation has taken over as number #1 ASA Summer
Adult League in Missouri. Columbia registered 233 adult teams for its
summer league and Springfield registered 198, making it 2nd highest
after more than 30 years at #1. Springfield added 27 teams at the half
to come close to Columbias total with 225.

coverage! A.S.A.
insurance broker Bollinger Insurance has announced that programs of the
ASA will now have a $5,000,000 liability coverage limit, an increase
from the previous $2,000,000.

Nine bats that did not meet the 2004 ASA bat standard that were
previously grandfathered in will not be allowed after January 1, 2008.

boys baseball individual registration,
which includes liability and accident insurance for ages 8 & under
through high school. IT IS IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND THAT BASEBALL
UMPIRES CAN BE COVERED WITH THE SAME INSURANCE THAT SOFTBALL UMPIRES ARE
AFFORDED (use the same registration process as softball umpires!)
