ASA Softball

ACCELERATED INDIVIDUAL JO YOUTH REGISTRATION & INSURANCE

The ASA Junior Olympic (JO) Program individually insures its ASA registered teams. The cost for each player is $21 per year. Please register online at www.fastpitchsoftball.net.

Benefits of being individually insured:

· Insurance is automatically provided for all individual registrants

· Coverage extends to the team as an insured entity if all team members register individually.

· Coverage extends to the leagues as an insured entity as well as to league officers if all league members register individually.

· Effective date: The registration and insurance are effective when your local ASA/USA Softball Commissioner receives the required information and payment. At that point, the insurance is effective back to January 1st and continues through December 31st. An important feature of individual registration is that as long as you renew your membership each year, the insurance plan will be continuous, with no gaps in coverage.

· Membership in an Olympic organization.

· Copy of Ball and Strikes Magazine.

· ASA/USA Softball Membership Card

· Each registered team receives a rulebook and a scorebook.

· Discounts on official licensed merchandise.

· Coverage includes $250,000 Medical Expense Limit.

· Deductible is $250.

· The liability coverage under the Individual Registration is $2 million per occurrence with a $5 million aggregate limit.

· Proof of Insurance: Individual insurance cards will be provided and can be used at tournaments for proof of insurance.

· Insurance coverage applies to an individually registered player playing on another team or in a non-ASA sanctioned event as follows:

o The coverage follows the player who plays on a team that is registered with ASA/USA Softball for the current year.

o The coverage follows the player if she/he goes to play on his/her own in an ASA/USA Sanctioned Tournament.

o The coverage follows the players on an individually registered team if they play as a team activity in a non-ASA sanctioned event.

o The coverage does not apply if the player plays on a team that is not registered with the ASA.

o The coverage does not apply if the player goes on her/his own to play in a non-ASA sanctioned event.
