What is the USA Softball Certified Training Academy Program?
This exciting new program consists of a key partnership between the ASA and each USASCTA in the Academy Network that is participating in this program. Each partner contributes to the overall success of the program by playing a key role in the building of both the Olympic Athlete Development Pipeline which will be used by the ASA for National Team selection.

The ASA has a long vision for this program. Tracking athletes beginning at the age 14 throughout their adult playing life allows USA Softball program to increase the pool of potential athletes to participate on the Jr. National, National, and Olympic teams. The ultimate goal for the USA Softball program is to win more gold medals.

Who are the Official USA Softball Certified Training Academies (USASCTA)? - Already existing facilities that are designated by USA Softball as an official academy that can administer, collect, and send information about athletes to USA Softball. These academies have been hand-selected for consideration based on their outstanding facilities, trainers, business practices, good will, and ability to further this USA Softball Program.

What is each partner’s role?
Amateur Softball Association of America – ASA’s role in this new partnership is to directly market and promote this program to the 4+ million athletes currently enrolled in the various leagues, tournaments, divisions, national teams, and other ASA sponsored events.

USASCTA – Each academy’s role will be to promote this new program to their current clientele, other local opportunities, as well all appropriate college recruiters. In addition each USASCTA will be responsible for the administering and sending in information about future athletes that could be considered in USA Softball development program.
